Character Background and Description
Paul spent his life living in poor income. His mother had killed herself when he was young and his father had to raise him and his two sisters Ellen and Mary, on his own. Paul had vowed to help his father and got a job at 15 to support them. When Paul was 21 and his sisters still in middle school, their father was killed by a stray bullet during a drive by shooting. The body had mysteriously caught on fire and there wasn't anything to bury, not that they could afford funeral services.

Paul took over caring for his sisters, he had planned to go off to college and to try and become a doctor but had to put those plans on hold while his sisters were still in school. Now he juggles three jobs trying to save up so that his sisters would have the opportunity to go to college when they graduate. However the effort has taken a toll on him these past years and he can't muster the energy to do anything besides work and sleep. His sisters are old enough to help and have gotten their own jobs but he wants to make sure they have enough to go to a good school. Despite all this effort and care for his sisters he still finds himself a little envious that his sisters would be able to get that higher education he wasn't able to achieve. He tries not to be angry at his life but sometimes it bleeds through with his stress. He often wonders if there was a faster and easier way to make money for himself.
